Tommy Bogs was born in 1950 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
During the 70-s and 80-s he was actively involved in the Danish rock scene, as sound engineer for the Danish most popular rock band. He got into contact with Buddhism and took refuge with Shamar Rinpoche in 1981. In 1986 he met Lama Ole and moved into the Copenhagen Buddhist centre, which he corun during the next eight years. He took part in several of Lama Ole's tours around the world and in 1995, at Lama Ole's request, he started travelling and teaching. Tommy has taught in Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, The US and Canada.
